iframe + source

Patrick Daehter

Hi,

is there a chance to use an iframe without the "src"-attribute?
Can I put the source in the main-page too?
I just need an area with scrollbars without an externel document.

Thank you

Patrick

You can use a standard Layer to do this....

Check out http://www.dyn-web.com/dhtml/lyr-scroll.html for an example that
uses custom "scrollbars", but you can also just use standard browser
scrollbars - have a look at
http://www.degs.co.uk/test/computerhelp/scroll-areas.htm

Cheers

You can use a standard div element to do this. (*). Apply some CSS to
specify overflow: scroll.

(*) Layer is an obsolete Netscape invention and is not mentioned anywhere in
the specs.

Richard.
