Job Description:
BACKUP ADMINISTRATOR Familiar with IBM TSM, CommVault Simpana Backup and Recovery Software, Data Domain, and/or Isilon NAS.
Understanding of backup & recovery principals, disaster recovery and knowledgeable of windows, aix and linux O/Ses.
This position includes converting from TSM to CommVault for 2000+ Windows Servers (physical and virtuals).
Responsible for configuration of Tape, Local Disk as well as NFS/CIFS storage pools.
This role will also be responsible for configuring and maintaining backup schedules as well as file restores.
Participation in Disaster Recovery exercises is required.
This job includes demonstrating knowledge and skills associated with backing up Exchange, SQL Server, SharePoint, Windows VMware and NAS backup technologies and procedures.
Job Requirements:
5+ years of experience in Backup/Storage Technology is required.
Complete familiarity with backup and recovery terminology is a must.
Good understanding of Media Pool and Usage of media located on Local Disk, NFS/CIFS, IBM ATL and Deduplication devices is important.
Experience using CommVault client side Deduplication capabilities is a plus..
Experience using CommVault with DataDomain Deduplication Devices is also a plus.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years’ demonstrated experience with configuration and management of Sun servers from the ground up, Solaris 10, performance and tuning, fault analysis, ZFS, Veritas Volume Manager, Veritas File System, Unix print services, shell scripting, FCP, Netapp Snapdrive, Netapp Snapmirror, and Netapp Lun cloning. The position will be responsible for theday-to-day administration of mission-critical services deployed using the above technologies.
The position requires excellent skills in the area of planning, installation, configuration, analysis, troubleshooting, proactive problem management, monitoring, backup, recovery, capacity management, performance management, automation, and preventive maintenance of Solaris systems supporting a large Epic environment. The position also requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in teams. The person selected will need to have a broad and deep understanding of supporting mission-critical applications running on a Solaris platform using Veritas Foundations Suite and Netapp SANs. This position will provide direct support to Clinical IT Application teams and be focused on maintaining 100% uptime for hospital’s electronic health system (EPIC).
Responsibilities to include:
• Installing, configuring, and maintaining multiple Solaris systems in an enterprise environment.
• Establishing system performance analysis and tuning methodologies.
• Ensuring fault tolerance and high availability by implementing appropriate software and hardware solutions.
• Implementing automated backup, recovery, and fail-over routines.
• Participating in application upgrades
• Participating in application migration to alternate data centers
• Working closely with application and DBA teams.
• Maintaining 100% availability of Epic systems and ensuring optimum performance.
• Configuring and maintaining performance metrics and monitoring routines

• Demonstrated experience with coaching/mentoring other developers with Compuware Uniface technologies version 7 or higher within the last 5 years. – 3+ years required
• Demonstrated experience with developing database driven client/server applications. – 3+ years required
• Demonstrated experience with developing database driven applications ina Compuware Uniface environment version 7 or higher within the last 5 years. – 3+ years required
• Demonstrated experience with Oracle
• Demonstrated experience with object-oriented development techniques. – 3+ years required
Preferred KSA’s:
