Is there a way to do this?

Hi;

I have a wizard where in one page I need all 8 steps of it and on
another page I need 7 of the steps. Is there a way to "include" those
7 steps in both pages and access the controls in the code-behind for
each page?

I'm guessing no - but I figured it's better to ask.

I'm guessing yes.

Hi Dave,

I'm afraid this is not supported due to the ASP.NET page processing model,
each page request is processing in an individual worker thread. Therefore,
one page's processing won't have sense of other page's processing. Thus,
controls on different page can not be accessed or shared with each other.
For your scenario, I think you need to put two separate wizard control on
the two pages respectively.

Please feel free to post here if there is anything else we can help.

Sincerely,

Steven Cheng

Note: The MSDN Managed Newsgroup support offering is for non-urgent issues
where an initial

response from the community or a Microsoft Support Engineer within 1
business day is

acceptable. Please note that each follow up response may take approximately
2 business days

as the support professional working with you may need further investigation
to reach the

most efficient resolution. The offering is not appropriate for situations
that require

urgent, real-time or phone-based interactions or complex project analysis
and dump analysis

issues. Issues of this nature are best handled working with a dedicated
Microsoft Support

Engineer by contacting Microsoft Customer Support Services (CSS) at
