Do you mean the physical addresses of ISPs?
One way would be to find their IP addresses using a DNS lookup engine.
e.g. <http://www.bankes.com/nslookup.htm>. For example,
www.freeserve.co.uk's IP address is 195.92.249.133
Then we can look up that IP address in the RIPE database (RIPE covers
Europe and Asia, but there are similar IP registries for other parts of
the world)
This tells us that freeserve's address is:
Melbourne Street
Leeds, LS2 7PS
United Kingdom

Kloo: The address is that of "the munsters" tv show house.
Or was it "the adams family"? Oh well.

interesting, http://www.geobytes.com/iplocator.htm seems to think i'm
located in bilbao, spain.
What IP address does it pick up?
When I put in the one from your post it gets it right.
You must be using some strange proxy or something?
Still, it obviously isn't accurate, whatever the cause.

its not F#&$ing funny. i'm confused enough as it is.
What IP address does it pick up?
http://usenet.alt-html.org/ip01.jpg [39k] from this address:
www.keylantracker.com/tracear_ip.php but my IP is constantly changing,
next time i may be in peru. its just like a holiday but not as good.
it gets australia right but the IP is nowhere near my physical
location.
to cut a long story short the oz government has decided that 19.2k is
the minimum acceptable internet connection speed for anyone located
anywhere in australia (part of their "rural improvements" so they can
try again to sell telstra). my connection was 14.4k. telstra have done
their magic and reroute my connection in all sorts of different
directions which result in a connection speed of 28.8k.
i would much prefer 2 way satellite than a shit phone line.
But I'm guessing it's a connection of 28.8k that probably has to go twice
as far anyway, so in practice isn't actually any faster?
its complete bullshit. they come out and test the lines for a few days
and give you a bit of magic software to install that will supposedly
fix it. after days of trying i finally found someone who could tell me
what the software is/does before i installed it and all it is is a
database of different proxy servers to connect to. the software
selects the fastest one. i could have done that my F%*^ing self in
fact i do do that my F%*^ing self anyway.
i'm a little pissed with them.
I can tell.
Completely understandable, of course.
I guess you don't have any other options where you are?

theres never a high powered rifle and bell tower around when you need
one. (another disadvantage of living in the country i suppose).
1 way satellite 14.4k/64k at least $10K for the hardware and
$100/month for 150Mb. $1.20 per meg over 150Mb.
2 way 64k/128k add about another $5k for the hardware and $230/month
minimum.
on my crappy little 28.8k line which is really 14.4k i do 3Gb/month.
Ouch. I knew it was expensive, but didn't think it was quite _that_
expensive.
Ahhh...the joys of living in the country. They really need to get their
act together. But I guess that's the choice you made - presumably you
think the benefits outweigh the negatives?

gowd dammit you're really trying to upset me today.
its only that
expensive because of where i live! if i lived about 80km east out of
the interference zone it would cost under $500 for the gowd damn
hardware including installation!. even the bandwidth is cheaper. oh
gowd, i think i'm going to cry now.
i must admit i do enjoy the "bonk" noise all the roadkill makes when

Plus roadkill is good eating.
