Javascript to Access Remote SQL Server

I search exhaustly on Google but did not get an answer. I want to
access a remote SQL server using javascript functions at the client
side. Is there any way to do that? I want to minimize the effort of
client side, i.e., install as few addons as possible.

Hey Rob,

as far as I know, you cannot call SQL Server directly from Javascript.
You must go through some kind of web service on the server side.

What framework do you use on the server side? .NET?

Yeah I use .NET But I want to access the Server directly.
