JBuilder5 or Forte for Java?

T

Tom

Okay,
Im a Computer Science student (Iv posted help questions before so some
of you may remember helping me)
My question now is -
I have both JBuilder5 and Forte for Java ce both at my disposal to
use.
Which would you say is the better compiler to use?
Seems as though the JBuilder is more user friendly to me but some of
the people here at the university say that no one uses borland
compliers in "The real world". Should i get used to other compilers
now and save myself the trouble?

Thanks for your time,
Tom

I think both IDEs use the same compiler (sun's javac). I recommend doing
one small project in each. After that you can better judge the merits
of the IDEs. It's hard to tell which one is "better" unless you have
done some real work with both.

I used to use JBuilder, but I've switched to Eclipse. Eclipse has its
own compiler, which is very nice, although it can also use javac. Take a
look at:
