Position Title: Programmer Analyst - Java & PL/SQL
Location: San Francisco
Duration: At least 6 months

Our Client is seeking effective and hands-on senior Java / PL SQL
developers to develop and maintain our high volume, 24X7, customer
facing, batch transaction processing application. The work requires
developers with solid Oracle database, PL SQL, and Java programming
foundation, and strong scripting skills who now work with J2EE and XML
technologies to build middleware and backend solutions.

Minimum Requirements:

Minimum Requirements:

* Bachelor's Degree and/or Master's Degree in Computer Science,
Mathematics or Statistics.
* 10+ years of hands-on programming experience, 7+ years PL/SQL
programming, 5+ years Java development and at least 3 years of Perl.
* Strong hands-on expertise in Java, XML, PL SQL programming and Oracle
9i skills a MUST.
* Experience with financial systems and working with large OLTP and
DataWarehouse systems.
* Hands-on expertise with Object-Oriented Design and Development, Core
JAVA (I/O, Multithreading), J2EE (JDBC, XML) and Oracle 9i (SQL, PL/SQL
and Object Types).
* Experience with ant, junit and scripting (perl, csh, ksh).
* Experience in using various software configuration management tools
(CVS, ClearCase and VSS).
* Experience with design patterns
* Experience with UML design and experience using modeling tools.
* Willingness to mentor.
* Have strong analytical and technical documentation skills.
* Strong hands on experience and understanding of the software
development lifecycle processes and methodologies in a large enterprise
environemnt, including build and releases, change management, and
deployment processes.
* Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Follows through on all commitments. Takes initiative to get work done.
* Good written and verbal communication skills.
