I decided to provide JSONet cross-domain library for free unlimited
public use (under MIT type license). I just cannot see the starvations
of "domain locked" users anymore
To save time on preface see the initial idea at
<http://groups.google.com/group/comp.lang.javascript/msg/55a6484917e3f17d>
(Dec.25 2005)
The .js library, demo and javascript-based content encoder are
available in one archive file at
<http://www.geocities.com/schools_ring/jsonet/jsonet.zip> Unpack and
open demo.html to see the sample, then see the code (pretty obvious I
hope).
If you want to see cross-domain communication in action right away, I
have prepared
<http://www.geocities.com/schools_ring/jsonet/feed.css> file with
"Lorem ipsum..." text.
Normally we never used JSONet as a stay alone tool, it was built into
our SVL library to let users build "distributed worlds" a la SimCity,
so this module was used as unerlaying transport to deliver SVL drawing
commands from participating servers. I just grabbed it out (rather
rudely) so any feedback and corrections are highly appreciated.
P.S. And yes, feel free to remove MIT license text out if you want to
from the library. That was for FYI, we don't need to pollute the
Internet traffic with legal stuff.
