Keyboard shortcuts on Mac OS\X in Firefox

Hi,

I am trying to debuig some javascript that works nicely on MSIE and
Firefox in Windows and also Safari on a Mac but not in Firefox on a
Mac. The following link demonstrates the issue nicely:

Typing Ctrl+1 should give you a key code of 49. In Firefox on a Mac it
gives you 81. Similarly other numeric shortcuts give odd results. This
is using the keyboard not the key pad.

Any ideas? This is Firefox 2.0.0.9. Safari on the same mac is fine.
