Which L&F would you recommend for Mac OS X?

That could be improved on by using an available
L&F named Quaqua.

I am having a look at what it would take to use this. As a third
party, it is a bit of a hassle. It is a separate jar that needs to be
distributed, installed and lazily loaded.

I wonder if we could invent something that looked like several jars
lashed together, that would behave like one big jar, but would only
lazily download its sections to simplify deployment.

When did the manifest feature:

Extension-List: activation mail
activation-Extension-Name: javax.activation
activation-Implementation-URL: http://abc.com/activation.jar
mail-Extension-Name: javax.mail
mail-Implementation-URL: http://abc.com/mail.jar

kick in, which JDK?

Is there an easy way to query a L&F name to find out what JDK it
requires?

I have made a list of a number of major L&Fs and their JDKs. I
compiled it by downoading and looking in the class file headers.
