Latest version online finally

Richard

Got the latest version of my play toy online.
What I'd like to do is to NOT have an overlaying image over the main image
all the time.
The overlaying image is to appear only when you mouseover the active areas.
As it is now, the overlaying image hides the active areas so that they're
not useable.
Anyway to get around this?

Also would like to know if it doesn't work in other browsers.

Oh and do be sure to shoot me if it doesn't validate.

Probably worth giving the URL. My crystal ball is still in for a
service.

When I mouse-out of the links the overlay images disappears, so AFAICT
it's doing what you want.

It works in Moz. Firebird. Bloody awful to look at though.

It doesn't work in other browsers.
Other than what BTW?

Do you want any help this time? Last time you got all huffy when
people tried to help. I know at least one way to solve your problem
and could easily knock up a demo but after the way your reacted before
I don't think I want the abuse. Bye.

Not entirely. I use a single color transparent gif to make it appear as if
their is no second image.
Check out the source code and you'll see on the preload list, one named
"clear.gif".
That's the 2nd image when you're not on a link.

I was upset over the fact that you originally were using my images from my
website and thusly causing undue bandwidth.
Would you appreciate someone stealing your images in that manner and can't
figure out why your bandwidth is so high?
Maybe not when the host sends you the bill.

I also learn new tricks by experimenting on my own. If you don't want to
help, that's your problem.

Didn't he use your images to help you out? Do you really expect someone
else to waste their bandwidth trying to help you?

Maybe not when the host sends you the bill.

That isn't going to happen is it? I very much doubt you're even close
to 25% of your bandwidth allowance.

Probably because the URL was posted here and how many thousand people went
there for a look. The actual number of people who "used" the images for
something other than viewing the page was probably miniscule.
Didn't he use your images to help you out?

As did I. I built a quite respectable example for him, after which he
threatened to sue me for theft of images. The ironic part is that he freely
admitted that he had stolen the images in the first place :)
Do you really expect someone
else to waste their bandwidth trying to help you?

Certainly not me.

Cheers
Richard.
