Well, it is C++, but a rather ancient dialect of it that was used prior to
the standardization of C++.

That's a great ebook by Steve Heller. It also teaches the basics of
computers - how they work etc,... which I think should be the starting
point for any programmer.

And it's completely free.

Actually the acllc-c++ FAQ is somewhat outdated, and has no references
to C++ tutorials (only C tutorials).

Reason: at the time there were no known even half-way correct C++ tutorials.
