I am trying to change the menu on the pages of the website
www.scaiecat-spa-gigi.com
On the page www.scaiecat-spa-gigi.com/sv/valkommen.html
I used one kind and on the page
www.scaiecat-spa-gigi.com/sv/keramikitalien.html another.
Both are different from the menu which you have for example on the page
www.scaiecat-spa-gigi.com/sv/boendeiitalien.html

Which one do you like/dislike and why?

Neither. They're both too big - they take up the entire browser area.
You need to re-structure tour site so that related elements are grouped
under parent and sub-menus.

And another thing - a while ago we suggested that you re-size your
images properly with an image editor not the HTML. For example, you
have the image
http://www.scaiecat-spa-gigi.com/bilder/ceramica11stor.jpg
sized to 300x237 pixels using HTML, whereas the real size is 599x475
pixels. There's no need for that and the result is that the HTML sized
version is poor quality.

The same goes for

They are already grouped on
www.scaiecat-spa-gigi.com/sv/valkommen.html
and www.scaiecat-spa-gigi.com/sv/keramikitalien.html

but in rows.
As to the size what is wrong with them taking up the entire browser area?

Yes, I remember reading something like that. Did you look at the other
pictures on the website?
There are probably many other pictures on the website which are sized using
an image editor.

There's no content for visitors to read. What would you rather your
customers see: a bunch of links that may or may not give them the
information they want, or information about your company as soon as they
see your page.

If the first page of a novel doesn't grab the reader's attention, the
reader puts the book back on the shelf and buys something else.

On the page www.scaiecat-spa-gigi.com/sv/valkommen.html
there is a lot to read in fact, in Swedish though.
On the page www.scaiecat-spa-gigi.com/sv/keramikitalien.html
there are already some information about e-commerce of ceramic. Prices are
coming soon.
The section in English and in German contains much less so far. The reason
why I write much information in Swedish first (rather than in English for
example) is that I live and have my firm in Sweden. Should many customers
from an english-speaking country get in touch with me to buy articles in
ceramic and ask me for information about these products, I would probably
write my english version much faster..

I share your opinion ( see above)

I'm sure there are, so why not finish the job. You put a lot of time in
to your site, we know that, so you may as well be doing it properly.

The website has already many pages, so I just try to do first what I think
it is more necessary.
The photos you mentioned however are not good not only as a result that they
are not sized using an image editor.

They are all bad :-(
Wow, you must be a stubborn men: You had so many critique on the awful *| |*
and still persist in applying it.
Have a look at www.cartal.nl . CSS-buttons, so you can change all properties
easily.
Mentioned before:
- The quality of the images has to be improved.
- Dump the image map. Nobody rcognises it as such, it slows down the page
and you repeat the individual objects in separate pictures.
Have a look at http://www.scaiecat-spa-gigi.com/sv/keramikitalien.html in
Mozilla: Even worse than IE.
Try again :)
Cheers, Nico

You're right of course. In this case however I think there are too many
critiques to ignore them.

See above
Text links are to be preferred (accessibility is better)

Then split it up in a main menu and sub menu's on the pages.

There are also advantages to have many links on the page, not only
disadvantages.

Remove the blue borders from around the image links
so the page looks a bit clearer.

<img src="..." border=0>
