Ok.. first off, thx to everyone who helped me get my site to work like it
should. Designing and redesigning the way I was advised to, has helped
tremendoulsy.

Now.... I have been searching high and low, but can't find what I want. I am
looking for scripts or some guidance on building a web based messaging
thing. where users can leave private messages for other users. Maybe i am
using the wrong keywords.. i dunno. can someone point me in the right
direction?

Bulletin board, forum, discussion group, web portal, etc.

See aspin.com for a good list, and popular ones (in ASP, since that's
the focus of this group) are MaxWeb Portal, Snitz, Web Wiz Forum and

i have snitz forums already. I am looking for something that is on the
actual site. So when someone logs in, it says something like. "you have X
unread messages"

that is exactly what i have been working on. so far it is working. I have a
display of .. yo have X unread messages when they log in.. and they click
that to go to their personal message page.... i will let you know how it
goes.
