Somewhere around 11/2/03 10:09 AM, Michael Wilcox typed wildly with
reckless abandon:
Is Mozilla 1.5 a stable version? http://www.mozilla.org/releases/stable.html
says 1.4.1 is the latest, but I see 1.6a is already out and I'm a little
confused.

1.5 is the latest stable release.
1.6a is a testing release.

you'd get a quicker and better answer on one of the mozilla groups. This
is HTML
news://alt.fan.mozilla
news://netscape.public.mozilla.general

or the secnews.netscape.com server

1.4.1 is not the latest: it is that latest stable version. Meaning that
risk averse browser makers (like IBM or Netscape) using the Gecko engine
should use 1.4.1 rather than a more recent release.

1.5 is the latest released, bleeding-edge version.

1.6a is an alpha.
