I am looking at building a CRM solution and would prefer to develop a .net
web application rather than a desktop app.
A web interface would work well for editing and displaying data. However
there are a number of printing requirements, such as printing address labels
and creating mail-merged letters for individual customers in the database.
Although it would be simple to create HTML documents that are correctly
formatted and laid out for printing I am wondering if there is a way of
leveraging existing MS Office functionality. Would it be possible to trigger
a mail merge process within word via a web page for example?
Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks.
