God, I hope so. Right now no one can read it. (Hint: change the color
and make it bigger.)

Indeed.
BTW, the whole site looks "funny" when images are disabled!
DON'T USE IMAGES AS TEXT!!! At least with no alt texts whatsoever.

It seems to be yet another example of this Photosop slice'n'dice lunacy.

Very likely. I didn't do a "view-source" and now the page seems to be
down. Maybe the OP's reworking it but I sense this is a case of
lack-of-experience.

It _is_ very likely.

And how much easier this site could be done with a couple of background
images and proper text and lists! No tables needed either.

can someone please take a look at the above link and let me know if i
can do anything better with the text?

Don't use black on blue
Put some margins on the test so it does not hit right up against the
white bar.
Larger font size

Certainly. Apparently the text color is the browser default although I
didn't recognize it with that particular bgcolor. I was amazed to see
that it's at least a draft for a commercial site and design-copywrited
(supposedly) by some company. Newfoundland is more rustic than I
thought.
