Need help attaching CSS, HTML and JS documents

Hey guys... this is super embarrassing but I have been struggling for hours.. Essentially, the title says it all. I need help attaching these files so that I can use each one and have it run. I also have a mac and am just so confused. What are the best programming applications I could use on a mac to code with? Thank you so much!
