.NET Passport Service for asp.net 1.1

HI All,

I want to try .NET Passport Service for my website authentication. But now
seems it the website on Microsoft no longer exist.

I couldn't find the SDK to download.
So does this service obsolete? If still active how can I start it (XP
enviroment)? Otherwise any other alternative for passport authentication?
