Netbeans 5.0 bundled tomcat 5.5.9 admin username and password;

K

koshy

I am a newbie to NetBeans.
I have downloaded and installed Net beans.
I have downloaded unzipped jakarta-tomcat-5.5.9-admin.zip
copied the D:\unzip\jakarta-tomcat-5.5.9\server\webapps\admin folder to
(D:\Program
Files\netbeans-5.0\enterprise2\jakarta-tomcat-5.5.9\webbapps) folder.
Copied >/conf/Catalina/localhost/admin.xml to
<catalina_home>/conf/Catalina/localhost

However when I Run the application Netbeans is asking for admin user
name and password.

it does not take any username and password i have put in.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled Netbeans making sure that all the
folders including the tomcat 5.5.9 folder is deleted. However on
re-installing the netbeans still wants a username and password.

How can I resolve this issue.

I have tomcat 5.0 installed on the same machine. However when I try to
run the applciation with this server netbeans gives me a deployment
error.

Is anyone able to help me?

regards
Koshy

the user name is "ide" and the password is a randomly generated string.
To find what it is, check this out:
