Hi!

Is there a way to get a page to appear in a new tab in the same window in
Netscape 7?

about:config shows a preference named
'browser.tabs.opentabfor.windowopen' but it doesn't seem to have any
effect here (Netscape 7.2). I don't think that your script will be able
to force a link to be opened in a tab, it is up to the browser user's
preference whether tabbed browsing is used.

Maybe there is. Look into the code of the Tab Browser Extensions, HTH.

Signatures are to be separated with a line containing only dash,
dash, space and newline. A default installation of OE strips the
following space which invalidates the delimiter. Visit
<http://insideoe.tomsterdam.com/> to fix this.

No. There is no cause for you to express yourself incorrectly, when you
could abstain from comment.

In a certain familiarity with HTML can be assumed. In HTML,
there are defined entities for dashes of different sizes.

The characters in the separator are instances of the ambiguous
minus/hyphen character, "ASCII" 45, the one used in javascript for
negation or subtraction.

One should also familiarise oneself with the proper purpose and size of
a signature; in the thread as I presently see it, only Al's and Martin's
are visually correct.
