Newbie-question Word 97 / XML

Hi,

I am considering using XML so I only have to correct my data in one
place instead of 3...

I use InDesign, which I know is compatible with XML. However, I am not
sure about Word 97 and Word 2000?

Hope someone out there knows? Thanks!
