Well, at least you've not gotten to ONE of the correct newsgroups. Start
out by reading the Welcome message, found here:
http://www.angelfire.com/ms3/bchambless0/welcome_to_clc.html

Continue by finding and bookmarking the comp.lang.c FAQ:
http://www.eskimo.com/~scs/C-faq/top.html

The Q&A won't mean much to you at this point, but familiarize yourself
with the basic format. You'll be needing it in the future.

Note in particular that we don't do homework for you. We will help, but
you have to demonstrate that you have worked on a problem, and that
means posting your code, explaining what is giving you trouble, and what
the expected results/actual results are. We aren't psychic.

This group will help you with C as long as you attempt your assignments
yourself and remain within the standard.

What are the standards?

The standard define C. Ie, if some language wants to call itself C it
needs to follow the standard. The standard is put together by ISO
and ANSI. A program which limits itself to the minimal guarantees
given by the standard will run on all different platforms and behave
the same way. As long as you know it is there, you don't need to
worry to much about it just yet. Just read some of the postings here
and you will see what it is all about, especially after doing some C
programming yourself.

Do a google search for top posting to figure out what top posting is.
When you know what top posting is, stop doing it :)

Basically you want to write your reply below the text of the previous
poster or delete all the text not written by you (You will want to delete
some of the text no matter how you do it). Posting to usenet is not as
easy as it seems, learn from those who have gone before or feel the heat.
Some searches for netiquette is always nice.

HTH, HAND.

Brian,

You're off topic. What does lack of psychic ability have to do with C?

Get with the program. Poor D.J. was just warning you how much of an idiot
he was, and that he'd be back to haunt you. Christ, give him a break.

Top posting is very irritating, I agree, which is why I try to do it as
much as I possibly can.

Case in point.

You seem to be doing enough of that for all of us. Do you just sit there all
day and find sentences in posts that don't contain "C" and then off you go
to tell the world (a world that couldn't care less)? Ironicly, I haven't
seen you post one on-topic post. Ever.
