open connection failure with jet engine.

when i try to open a connection with the jet 4 drivers to
an access 97 database i cannot get the connection to work
because of an unusual access error, which is listed as
follows:


The Microsoft Jet database engine cannot open the
file 'C:\Documents and Settings\David Binney\My
Documents\Visual Studio Projects\35 DBMS\DbNet.mdb'. It
is already opened exclusively by another user, or you
need permission to view its data.

does anyone know how to resolve this problem, or can you
suggest other drivers eg ODBC ones that i can use it its
place. if suggesting others can you suggest method as
well...

HI,

Is the connection open and not closed in the application or there is a
possibility that the mdb is open in MSAccess IDE.
