page load on date selection from custom javascript date picker on safari 3.0.4

Hi All,
On my page , i used one customcontrol - for date picker, which selects date from new popup window. it works fine on IE6, IE7 , firefox 2x browsers. But on safari browser - on selecting date it sends request to server and page events executes, but here this does not repaint aspx page. But any viewstate and other business logic messed up.

Any help or suggest would be great help.
