Does someone know of any possibilty to
limit the load which a Perl Script prouces?

e.g. Limit not more than 5 ...

I do not fully understand your question, but do
you eventually mean something like calling the
script with 'nice', which gives it a lower priority?

What OS are you talking about?
In unix the 'nice' command should suffice.
