Portable Sockets Wrapper

I'm currently looking for a good C++ Wrapper for sockets.
I've already tried http://www.libsockets.net/ but I have some problems
compiling it on Windows.
Does anybody know a smaller (this library is pretty heavy after all)
sockets wrapper?
