While running "sudo make install-doc" on Mac OS X 10.4.7,
I got a nastygram about '.' not being readable. I was able
to get around this by opening up the permissions on the
current directory (it was mode 750; I made it 755), but I
can't see why this should matter.
My suspicion is that the code is trying to make sure that
the installation directory is readable, but it isn't going
about this in the right way.
Anyway, I think I should file a bug report, but I haven't
been able to find out where or how to do this. Help?
