Practical UDDI?

Hello-

I am trying to learn what uddi is.... google searches have
taught me all of the buzwords and high level description (ie- uddi is
a language that allows businesses to publish their offerings), but I
can't find a simple down to earch description on how to use uddi (ie-
what do I have to type into the keyboard to find a company that sells
blue socks for less than $10). Any suggestions?
