Problems with ASP on IIS5

We currently have a Windows 2000 Server fully patched up
running IIS5, the problem that we are having is that the
site stays up for a certain amount of time then it goes
down.

The only way we can get the site backup is by re-
registering ASP.dll

Does anyone know what would be causing this and also have
a perminant fix?

Goes down with what sort of message/error?

There is no errors at all, nothing in the event log, all
you get it a 404 when you try and browse the site.

Have you tried setting application protection to low?

No, we have not tried that, what would this do/prevent?
