Python and Google App intergration

I don't know Python well. Only recently started taking the Codeacademy.com class.
Is there a way to take input from a Google Spreadsheet and use it to add membership to a Google Group?
If not Python, is there another language that could perform this function?

Look for Google Apps APIs. I'm not sure what you want to do is possible, at
least manipulating the spreadsheet is doable from Pythonl:
