python-gnome2 panel applet

Hi,

I'm after a sample python program which is a gnome2 panel app. I've looked
at the example applet which comes with the python-gnome2 package, but I
don't understand how to launch it into the panel. It doesn't show up in
the "add to panel" menu and it has no methods to invoke.

I've also searched for docs on this to no avail.

Once again any assistance would be most appreciated.
