I'm on a job where J2EE WAR/EAR files are deployed on WebSphere 5.1
Clicking through the admin console to update or install an application
is tiresome, but (hooray!) there are command line and scripting tools
available.
By default you can script WebSphere admin objects using JACL (TCL in
Java) and Jython. Jython's not too bad, but ...
Back in March 2004 someone asked about using Ruby to script WebSphere
deployment; there were no replies.
Has anything changed since then?
Has anyone found a way to use Ruby or JRuby to make WebSphere admin
tasks less onerous?
Thanks,
James
