Question regarding client-side scripting in asp.net

Hi,
I am stuck in this one problem.

I have a webform webform1.aspx, and I have 1 user control and 1 checkbox on
the page. Initially I want the usercontrol not to show. Once the user clicks
on the checkbox, the control should become visible. I know how to do this
using a server postback but for performance purposes I want this to happen
on the client end.

Please help me out in this.
