Questions about Mocha

GreenXenon

Hi:

JavaScript first went by the name, Mocha, then Livescript -- and in
'95 it was changed to Javascript.

I have some questions.

When was Mocha developed?

When was Mocha first released to the public?

Thanks

Already did but to no avail. I've toiled around before asking and not
encountered one source that describes when Mocha was developed.

Asking a smart question, a question that deserves more than `RTFM' and
friends, includes the strong recommendation to provide at least that
information with it.

The source is linked in the English `JavaScript' Wikipedia article.

Your posting agent or style is borken as it creates a number of unnecessary
"empty" lines. Please fix this.

Which doesn't state when Mocha development began or what year the name was
changed from Mocha to Livescript... which was clearly what the question was
asking.

Have you actually followed the link from the Wikipedia page?

I did, and it gave a quote from Brendan Eich that stated not only the
year, but even the month and other circumstances.
As always Thomas... you are a douche.

You are entitled to your opinion, but in this case he is also correct.

It was called Mocha, Livescript and Javascript in 1995... so that's not an
answer.

To the question "when Mocha development began or what year the name
was changed from Mocha to Livescript... which was clearly what the
question was asking" ... the answers were given: (May) 1995 and 1995.
