Just tr

Server.Transfer("childApplication/receiveControls.aspx") or if this file is in the same directory then
Server.Transfer("receiveControls.aspx")

Thanks

Is this, in fact, a child application? If so, there are some pieces of the
plumbing that are going to fight you when you attempt this transfer. The
main purpose of server.transfer is to transfer a person to another page in
the same app, without forcing another trip (ala Response.Redirect).

The real question is, what are you trying to do? If this is a method to
facilitate single sign on, for example, you can do that by using the same
cookie name, in forms auth, and setting the machine keys to the same value
(rather than auto gen). You cannot easily pass session values, but you can
at least avoid a second sign in.

Greg,

I don't even think it's possible to use Server.Transfer to a location
outside of the current Application.
