retain the mobile data

Hi,

We are developing a wireless warehouse system. the
intermec computer scanner is used as the client to access
to the asp.net web application. What's the best practice
to retain the scan data which hasn't been saved into the
database, so the user can still retrieve back the scan
data even the connection is broken and resumes later.

Any idea/advice is appreciated!
