ri doesn't work if I have an xhost line in my cshark?

If I add this line to my .cshrc:

xhost +myhost

and run "ri", I get nothing echoed, except`:

myhost being added to access control list
/tmp/ri_27406.0 (END)

I need the xhosts to run emacs. Why would this screw up "ri"? perldoc
and man, etc all work fine..

Thanks,
MP

Perhaps I didn't fully explain.

I have a line in my .cshrc : xhost +myhost

For some reason, apparently the "ri" command sources the .cshrc . I
don't need X or xhost to run "ri"; instead, quite the oppposite,
inexpliquably it execuate the xhost command.

Seems very odd to me.

OK, now I get it. Probably the ri (or something invoked by ri) is
trying to execute a shell command, but when the shell starts up it is
not being given the -f flag.

Your best bet is to move the xhost line from your .cshrc file to your
.login file.

I'll give that a go - thanks!
