RPC/literal definition

Hello

I'm reading a textbook bout web services, it covers RPC/literal and
document/literal messaging modes.

I can't seem to find where RPC/literal is actually defined (in some
specification / section?). All that is mentioned in the book is it is
a 'struct'. Any help appreciated.

The most relevant specs are SOAP and WSDL. You have to pick a version for
each. The most common WSDL in use in 1.1 http://www.w3.org/TR/wsdl. It's
common to see both SOAP 1.1 http://www.w3.org/TR/2000/NOTE-SOAP-20000508/
and 2.0 http://www.w3.org/TR/soap/
