Ruby & MF Cobol

Hi,
I know this must sound very odd, but has anybody any experience
of writing Ruby extensions in MicroFocus Cobol ?

The HPUX system I'm working with doesn't have a fully featured
C compiler ( no ansi, and cant create shared objects), and
so it's a bit difficult for me to create any extensions.

Any help/advice would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Tad

Some time ago when I used to work with HP-UX, I managed to build GCC
with HP's C compiler. I am also sure that nowadays you can easily find
some publicly available distribution of GCC for your system.

And if there isn't a C compiler, you can download a pre-built gcc, and
use it to bootstrap your build from source.
