"ruby-talk" client/offline reader?

Hello.

I have some expectancies to create client software ("offline reader") for
ruby-talk. It can be potentially much more usable than "standard" email
client.

So, the question is: is there some public-available APIs helpful for the
task? Of course, I can use "dumb" approach of parsing html-s (like in
http://blade.nagaokaut.ac.jp/cgi-bin/scat.rb/ruby/ruby-talk/35982), but it
seems to be not very elegant (and is limited to read-only).

Thanks.

Victor.
