Ruby under apache2 status?

I've decided to take a look at Ruby and Rails so I picked up a copy of
Agile Web Development. The authors say that as of the date of writing
Ruby under Apache2 wasn't ready for prime time.

Has that changed since?

Works fine for me. I use mod_fcgid.
