Rubyx OS website

I've been thteatening to launch Rubyx for a while, but the documentation is
taking longer than expected ;)

It's still not finished, but the latest is available at

www.rubyx.org

The stuff to look at is Rationale, features, using rubyx and rubyx manual. The
rest is placeholder at the moment.

Any comments/feedback/criticism/editing welcome!

Andrew Walrond

PS The website is far from finished yet, so please don't slashdot me...
PPS Thanks to all who helped testing the rubyx bootstrap process.

Pet peeve: The front page of your site should explain what rubyx is,
rather than hiding it on a subsidiary page.

I second this. It's important that the first page tell you whether or
not the rest of the pages are of interest.

The answers to :
What is it?
What is it for?
Who is it for?

should be on the front page.
Cheers,
Euan

should be on the front page.

And (general comment, not specific to the Rubyx site) nearly as
important are the answers to the questions:
* What ISN'T this?
* What DOESN'T it do?
* Who is NOT the target audience, and should leave right now.

Thanks for the tips; I'll make the necessary changes.

(This is my first webpage, created over the last few evenings after reading
"HTML The complete reference", so I'm not your granny, and egg sucking tips
are welcome....)

I am making good progress with the 'Installing Rubyx' document on the rubyx
website. If anyone has the time to read through it (see if it makes sense)
opinions greatly apprieciated. Latest version always available at

www.rubyx..org

I've setup a mailing list and would welcome some company :)

How to download a bootable CD/DVD ?

I've just finished the basic installation documentation. Next I'm going to
tackle xfree86, gnome and kde configuration docs, but I'll build the latest
the bootable cd's and dvds and put the isos up this weekend if you like.
