Saving a Canvas as other than PS

Hello,
I have been looking for a way to save a Canvas as a jpeg. I know
that there is PIL but I need to draw polygons and the ImageDraw module
doesn't have the smooth option for its draw.polygon method and I need
that. I'm on OpenBSD 3.4 with Python 2.2.1.

Please help!
