Procom Ottawa is currently working with a leading-edge software
development company and is seeking five (5) Java Software Engineers for
permanent employment. You will be part of a team of top talented
developers with a common goal of developing the highest quality
industry software. You will be working on a new product initiative
which will provide a general solution for managing metadata across
different metadata providers and consumers.
JOB DUTIES / QUALIFICATIONS:
* You will be tasked to contribute to the development of a project in a
new area of interest that has not yet been explored within the software
industry. This role will require excellent knowledge of object-oriented
software design, multi-tier software architecture and design patterns.
* You will be working in an extremely fast paced, dynamic and
constantly evolving environment.
* In this role you will be required to take on many challenges, so our
client requires someone who is a self-starter with the ability to solve
problems, has a willingness to learn and use new technologies.
* This project will provide an exciting opportunity to contribute to a
new concept as it is being developed and refined.
* The ideal candidates will possess 5-7 years experience developing
applications using technologies such as Java, Web Services and SQL.
* Strong database experience will be essential to your overall success
in this position
* Excellent analytical, problem solving and communication skills.
* Knowledge and experience with the integration of components and
layers of distributed applications would be a plus.
