Position Specification:
* Full-time, Permanent
* Contract: NASA Peer Review Services
* Location: 500 E Street, SW, Suite 200, Washington, D.C.
Brief Summary of Position:
Support the redesign of the SYS-EYFUS system, which is a NASA web and
client/server application designed to support the peer review
activities at NASA Headquarters. Design and develop web application
interfaces and components using Java technologies.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Design a Web tier using JSP/Servlet interfacing an EJB business
tier
* Design a HTML GUI compatible across most combinations of
platform/browser
Position Requirements:
* BS/MS in CS or equivalent professional experience
* 3-8+ years of experience in Client-Server application development
* 3-4+ years working with Java (2 years with J2EE)
* Expert in JSP/Servlet, HTML, STRUTS Framework using EJBs
* Extensive experience designing and implementing web-based GUIs
* Strong software development background in OO design and development
* Able to design and code independently
* Experience with unit and load testing
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Permanent residency or citizenship
* No third parties or consultants (W2 only)
Familiarity is desired in the following:
* Read/Write UML Diagrams
* Exposure to design patterns, best practices and modeling in J2EE
environments
* Software life cycle procedure (RUP)
