Server side CustomValidator and FormView

Hi,

I have a server side custom validator which works fine. when I use it
in a Formview with the "Insert Button" Command set to "Insert" it does
not go through the validation! the field gets inserted with whatever
data in it. any ideas about what should be set or am I missing
something?
