Hi,
I'm no expert on this, but it seems to me to be something that should be
avoided if possible. I regularly come across sites which attempt to pop
windows and size them. A lot of the time the resulting window is obviously
the wrong size. I have the feeling that this is due to the way that
browsers respond to sizing requests but I don't know. Basically I believe
that things on the web should not be browser dependant because that is not
what the web was conceived for. I would suggest that you investigate this
most carefully before implementing it as getting it wrong just tends to
annoy users.
