Hi,
I have an floated left span in IE that disappears randomly, presumably
floating itself under preceeding content, which also happens to be floated
left.
The bug is effectively random except in one case. While I can refresh or
reopen that page with a 50/50 chance the span will not appear, I can open
'Internet Options' click OK and the span will always disappear. I can then
hit refresh 2-3 times and it will usually reappear. All ouput is
automatically generated, so the same logic that produces this span is
commonly used throughout the site without problem. I have confirmed the
span is always present in the page source, even when not visible. Please
note I am debugging with a local static copy of the generated page, so
it's not related to the program that produces the html, nor is it a
caching issue. Removing the 'float left' fixes the problem in that
instance, but is not a viable permanent solution for other reasons.
Has anyone heard about any IE bugs like this, and possible solutions?
Thanks.
Louis
