Streaming protocol ref

Hi,
I need to work over streaming protocol library (Application layer
protocol) that basically defines different frames scope like Stream
Scope (init and end of stream),config frames tht config data sources
etc and data frames tht carry actual data .My interfaces will include
Reader/Writer and Serilazation of frames implementation .

Could i get any reference to such open source lib, where i can get
help to implement it .
